Who would have thought? Brittle glass and ceramic panels shatter when pounded by fast-moving, hard objects. What are the chances? One in a million? Or maybe some people live in a dream world where unicorns jump over heaps of wishful thinking. Solar energy is suitable for some locations in space as there they don’t suffer the mishaps of weather. Here on Earth, we need stuff that works under all circumstances. Stuff that works especially when things go haywire. Many believe they can put solar panels in the desert and solve the problem this way. As if there was no sand and dust in the desert. Good luck with that.
