Hydrogen and ammonia as ship fuels

Just imagine there is a leak of ammonia while the ship is traveling. Entire stretches of ocean completely sterilized. That would be a change from crude oil spills. Instead of the filth, there would be spic and span everywhere. Not even bacterial life. How do you think this will go down in coastal waters or a harbor? A cloud of ammonia whafting into the onshore part of the harbor, possibly a city. How well is this going to go down? Oil spills will seem quaint compared to that. And hydrogen – I don’t even want to begin contemplating what happens when hydrogen escapes and mixes up with air. Fun times ahead. Stay clear of vessels.
