Hydrogen investment appetite has become more selective

Talking about something is nice. It’s also easy and cheap. Doing it for real is a wholly different bag of fleas. Hydrogen is a problem with so many different hard points that it’s almost crazy to think it might be used as an energy carrier in its unaltered form. It’s a safety risk of almost crazy proportions. But nature has provided us with an easy, safe, and affordable solution. It binds two hydrogen to one carbon and just like a miracle, all the corrosivity and safety concerns go away. It’s called methane – too good to be true.

Investors are becoming pickier about where to put their money in the sector, with some now waiting for the first wave of projects

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
