Common sense comes back to those who need it most. Coal power can be clean if you want that and if you are invulnerable to the CO2 scam. And coal has many advantages that work for it such as very easy and cheap storage and great thermal properties. We can use coal in a way to not impact the environment. That’s not possible with a wind turbine or solar panels. And India is one of the few countries with interesting economic prospects in Asia.
