Innovation and ‘New Energy’
People like to forget that one of the reasons why wind and solar do not yet kill the grid is because of massive coal, nuclear and gas-based electricity generation. I have long advocated for model regions that should be unhooked from the conventional grid and left to their renewable devices. If they want so of course but I hear there are plenty of volunteers. let them go there full money but require them to completely cut off the conventional balancing act. Live with what you have and let’s see how you like that. Because that’s what the developed world is going to look like in due course if they have their way. Its easier to rescue a few regions than entire countries. But renewable advocates are talk only as they know that the example of such regions will kill their pet projects.
