Inside Climate News Confuses Models with Reality
What’s the news? We all confuse models with reality all the time. We listen to government statistics and think they are true. We use KPIs to measure the performance of anything and think that this is reality. We listen to economists on their predictions that inflation won’t be high and think it’s real. We see China announcing the new growth figures they had decided and think they are facts. We could not tell reality from the glibber that surrounds us every day if we made an effort. This cannot be fixed – we need to let it crash and burn by its own weight.
