Investors holding $41 trillion demand action on climate — now
Maybe it pays to be precise. Those “Investors” did not ask governments to do more for the environment. They asked governments to commit more tax money towards their “rent-seeking” projects. What do investors like? Guaranteed returns. What do they abhor? Market risk. They don’t want to compete as could be expected by investors. They want to drop money and have guaranteed returns plus an upside. Having your tart and eating it at the same time. The population shall carry their commercial risks.
