Is It Ethical to Purchase An EV Lithium Battery Powered Vehicle?
Yes, we all know the stories of the poor miner children in the Congo scraping the metals needed for EVs out of the Congolese rock. But does anyone ever think of all those that are not part of the elites and can’t afford those expensive cars? Yes, in spite of copious subsidies, those vehicles still command a hefty premium. This means only those well-off can ever get those subsidies paid for by those on the lower rungs of society. Socially, the EV is a disaster. A toy for the rich paid for in part by the poor.
