Is warming accelerating in the troposphere?

Austria just had its coldest April in decades. It made headlines. I will preserve them as they will have disappeared even in electronic databases in a few months. Austria also had its warmest summer in 2017 and since then every summer has been shorter and cooler. Summer 2022 was a good 5 degrees Celsius cooler than 2017 and yet, we had headlines of the warmest summer ever. The headlines of 2017 had somehow disappeared. Luckily I preserved some hard copies. Lies go a long way but when people cannot afford lives anymore, Those same lies put a very bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
