I would argue that the vast majority of temperature measurements worldwide are junk. How are the averages determined? Who decides what data points to take into account and which not? Who calibrates all those measuring points and is there any independent verification of any single point even possible? And how are temperature measurements taken by satellite accounted for as they are not in situ? There are more issues I can think of. We are forced to take it on faith. Considering the number of scandals we already had I would say any claim for taking anything on faith should automatically be presumed fraudulent.
