Leveraging the Defense Production Act to Stockpile Minerals

National defense is national defense. Whatever you deem to be the threshold for stockpiles will be it. But thats not the issue I have. For more than 3 decades now we have become enamored with the idea that globalism will take care of every one of our whims in no time. There is no need to stock up for bad times as this costs money. Money that can be used for the next DEI insanity. This worked more or less until COVID blew the lid off and the conflict in the Middle East ensures that the lid remains off. My uncle had a big window production facility. I remember big stores of cut wood stored for years for curing and also to cover for bad times. That skill has been lost. Time to get it again.
