Liquids give Qatar LNG negative breakeven
It’s a funny mental game – how low can you go. Yes, liquids make Qatar enough money so that they could throw away their LNG for free and put some money on top. That being said, many projects would be able to do that if the liquids would not be stripped out of the stream before Liquefaction. In the real world, you don’t want to throw good money after bad. You want to make a cut and the LNG project needs to stand on its own. Which it can. But yes, Qatar is the premium player in the LNG game. Well done.
