Liz Truss is the New UK Prime Minister: How Will This Affect Climate Policy?

I don’t trust politicians. No matter where they come from. I actually expect them to be at their worst pretty much all the time. Truss has been fast to make shale an issue again and makes some very interesting noises. Dare we hope? But even if she turns out to be the same swindler as pretty much anyone else, people and politicians take note and some might be compelled to try new things as well. I think we have critical mass for shale – no walk in the park for sure but an opening.

UK Prime Minister Liz Truss apparently wants us to believe she is Margaret Thatcher reborn. But her history of political switchbacks on important issues leaves a lot of uncertainty.
