LNG industry is super bullish, but in no rush to benefit
Instead of working on securing lower costs, the LNG world still waits for higher prices. They were spoiled before 2014 and they have not forgotten that yet. Also, behind all the glamor the LNG world is still quite aware that oversupply looms at least for some years and that it was staved off on some pretty remarkable one-offs. They won’t come to save the day forever. Eventually, the LNG world will have to become entrepreneurial. It is still far from it – but there is some life in the small-scale segment.
Bullish, as a word, doesn’t quite capture the stampede of optimism that was gushing out from the natural gas industry at its biggest annual event this week in Barcelona.
