LNG supply glut ‘is still coming’
As Pistol Pete used to laugh “har har” I laugh now. I insisted that there will be oversupply for years now and I was looked at as if horns were growing out of my head. You just don’t absorb what’s in the market forever. One-offs were many but they still are one-offs.
The glut in global LNG supply feared for this year has been delayed rather than eliminated and is still likely to hit the market by late 2019 or early 2020, bringing with it a softening of prices that may hit export revenues but would be welcomed in the east coast domestic market.
