Lomborg: ‘Organic agriculture’ could optimistically support 4.7 billion people – ‘Industrial agriculture’ could optimistically support 12 billion – Current global population is 8 billion

That’s very optimistic. Without chemical fertilizer, pretty much all the gains from the Green Revolution in the Seventies would be canceled out. Many regions of the world that produce food today would become very hard to manage. We will get a taster of that even in this same year as we are running out of fertilizer. Its production has been hampered by the war in Ukraine. Very few regions function without fertilizer at all. Most of them are in the temperate zone and even they will still see losses in productivity. Besides, the activists won’t stop at fertilizer. They won’t stop until we see millions die. And then they will blame anyone else for it.
