Long-term LNG deals still viable, spot churn limited
The industry needs aggregators – those which buy long-term on an unpredictable market environment confident that his skills will make him whole any time. They take risks, they shall be rewarded for it. Those ironing out the ripples will drive the industry from behind. The long-term contract is not dead by a long shot.
The shape of LNG trading in the coming years looks set to continue to evolve with long-term contracts still viable in the marketplace and the increased use of technology potentially boosting spot LNG churn rates, panelists at the Gastech conference in Barcelona said.
