Any casual student of antiquity and pre-antiquity will quickly find that there were periods when large parts of the Sahara desert were green. The ancient Egyptians hunted big game such as rhinos, elephants, and lions and they did not travel down to Subsahara Africa to do so. I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
