Common sense tells us that given a chance, most people would work to improve their condition and go for their advantage. Fundamentally, everyone wants to be a decent human being given the chance so if anyone is less than decent it must be outside factors. That theory never had a leg to stand on and we have seen innumerable times that there are always people that will never want to integrate into society peacefully. If you have grown up by the stick, a stick is what you need to conform to basic rules of decency. If you have never learned self-restraint as horrid repression on many levels did it for you, a liberal frameset is like gasoline on a dumpster fire. Not all people are evil, but some clearly are.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
