Climate is only just one issue that’s horribly wrong those days. There are many others but a true political renewal cannot possibly come from the centers of power. In the US that would be DC. Renewal has to come from the grassroots level. The cabals that dominate speech today and that push those agendas have taken sometimes decades to infiltrate every grassroots institution so today they can monopolize speech and decisions. That same thing needs to be done in reverse. States, counties, towns – people need to pick up where they think they dropped political activism at the lowest level and rebuild true democracy.
