Natural Gas a Loser in War

Yes, nations will turn back to coal once their wind and solar-powered dream turns out to be a catastrophe. And their gas demand will drop massively when their economies go down the drain. That has little to do with war as LNG does not care about localized conflicts as long as sea lanes are open. That said, the US will still have its gas overhang courtesy of oil production. It will still have to do something with it and it might well be that all this gas enables the US economy to use all this gas for the one thing still dominated by oil products. Transport. LNG is a fuel and every drop of LNG used as a fuel for vehicles frees up a slightly smaller drop of oil to be exported for profit.
