Natural gas from Texas shale fields becoming more coveted than oil

It’s close to 15 years ago when I sold my soul to methane gas and LNG as its ideal logistical solution. To me, it was always clear that one day, it would push oil from its throne of the king of mobility even. Would that be sudden? Sure not. Would oil go away? Not in my and my children’s lifetimes. Oil will remain important and very big in the lifetime of anyone alive today. Gas will just get bigger and bigger faster and faster. Until one day it’s king. I learned to be patient though.

Now, in a sign of just how much Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has thrown global energy markets into disarray, it’s natural gas, not oil, that’s becoming more coveted in U.S. shale fields.
