Net Zero “Strangling” Oil and Gas Producers
If only 5 years ago someone would have told Europeans that Blackouts will be a regular feature of their lives, they would have laughed it off. No more, there is a constant drumbeat of news about what to do during a long blackout. I am not talking about 1 hour or so. We are being mentally prepared for 2-week blackouts. And people are not even revolting – it has become the new normal. Strangling reliable energy producers has consequences. And those consequences have consequences in turn. But ripple effects are never taken into consideration.
