New Chinese Solar Plant Undercuts Cost Of Coal Power

They are comparing apples and coconuts here. The offering from coal is “I will give you the power when you need it and whee you need it” whereas solar says “I give you power when I have it and where I make it”. Not quite the same product – so back to the spreadsheet and make a real (and honest) comparison.

Two 500MW solar power plants were connected to the grid in China on Saturday with one of them boasting a very special landmark.
