Federal elections are coming next year in Germany and the ruling coalition looks like it will get routed right now. The only fitting superlative to compare their current unpopularity is the glaring madness of the unrealistic expectations everyone, including themselves, had when they took office. When Germany announced its nuclear exit I predicted that Germany would build new nuclear plants before 2030. I guess the ruling parties think they need to kill some of their own to make believe that this all was not their fault. Another prediction I took a few years ago – when the bandits figure out that the jig is up, they will sacrifice the useful idiots and some of their own without qualms – just to save themselves.
