New York Urgently Needs To Confront the Contradiction of Trying To Electrify Everything While Also Eliminating Fossil Fuels

The Big Apple has survived many crises. Parts of the city have been barely better than a slum for a long time and even today, you don’t want to get stuck on many of its roads. But this death spin happening right now might well be final for the metropolis. Companies flee it and even small to medium-sized businesses pack up and leave. They go for the greener grass. This flight will further erode the tax base making NY politicians even more extreme – it’s a death cycle. Reforming this would hurt massively. And I don’t feel New Yorkers have a stomach for that. It was fun while it lasted.
