New York’s Climate Leadership and Community Protection Act
New York might even meet its 2050 net-zero target if they continue striving as they do now. Those with good economic prospects are leaving, companies are leaving and since COVID many have discovered that telework does not require such vast office towers anymore. The thing to do would be to be friendly to companies – keep them attracted. But New York does not think about keeping business in. And the slums that will remain behind won’t have the most massive footprint anymore as there won’t be so many people left.
