Nigeria faces competition from African peers
There is one market that’s still very underdeveloped – and it’s right at Nigeria’s doorstep. African power production plus also small scale LNG for generator fuel. Africa is a continent of generators. Every building has one or more. Diesel is very expensive in many African countries. especially so in Nigeria and even if you pay up its hard to get as the queues at the fueling stations show. All that Bonny LNG needs is a jetty for small vessels and maybe a truck loading station. I would do the primary distribution with small ships though. And then build up coastal community hubs from where LNG can be further distributed. If NLNG does not want to do it by itself, it could team up with others that want to.
