Nigeria to account for 24% of oil and gas projects starting up in Africa by 2026
Nigeria is the juggernaut in Subsaharan Africa for many reasons. One is that it is the most populous country by far on the entire continent and as such its labor force permeates the entire region. It’s the biggest market and the home base of many international companies on the continent. It has an educated workforce and many states have a can-do attitude – sort of – at least in terms of African standards. That being said, Africa is incredibly vast, only slightly smaller than Asia as a landmass. It’s still largely unexplored and there remains much to be found.
