Deep inside most people have a gut reaction that makes them give in to ridiculous demands in the hope that the crazies appetite for crazy is sated and they will leave us alone from thereon. But that never happens and the silent majority needs to understand that there will be no compromise, no “middle ground”, no live and let live, and no bribing of the activists. Giving in to anything just encourages worse behavior. The only way to end this is to rip the problem out root and stem and show the activists that their actions will result in their own misery. Terrorists are imprisoned so long that they leave prison when they are very old. We have a template.
