Ocean acidification causing coral ‘osteoporosis’ on iconic reefs
The oceans are basic – not acidic. So ocean acidification is a misnomer. What do you get if you put a drop of acid into a base – yes thats basic chemistry. You still have a base. And as long as its a base, corals are not harmed. Corals have survived much hotter times as the ages of some reefs prove very well. Time to get real.
