Oil Breaks $80 As Hezbollah Strikes Haifa

There is a major war in the Middle East and another major war with Russia (still one of the biggest oil producers on Earth) and oil goes slightly above USD 80. Let me bring some perspective to this. If one applies inflation to that USD 80 we are truly talking about USD 60 or so in 2010 terms. That’s not a high oil price. If oil shot up to beyond USD 150 or even 200, that would get me out of my chair. But such a mild reaction means only one thing to me. We are already in a global depression and it’s going to be deep, and long. Welcome to the New Normal.
