Oil Giant’s Massive Impairment Could Be The Latest Sign Of Trouble For California’s Economy, Experts Say

Impairments mean nothing but money spent for nothing that will never be recouped and it’s all because of overboard political activism and senseless regulation. California is the prime example of political bloat in the US although some states like New York give it a run for its money. What is this all going to do? Big companies will increasingly refuse to invest in California. Chevron has its HQ there but much of its operations and value staff already live out of Texas. Time to move the HQ as well. California does not want you. I am sure Texas Governor Abbott will open the door extra wide for Chevron. Good riddance Sunshine State.

A major oil company announced Tuesday that it could face up to $4 billion in impairments due in large part to California's stringent regulatory environment.
