Oil in the ocean photooxidizes within hours to days, new study finds

Tuns out that this planet still holds plenty of secrets that wait to be explored. I just say because apparently science is being conducted by consensus (not even real consensus mind you) now. We also find out that there is much more natural methane that is being released into the atmosphere every year that assumed. This planet is big and there are supposed the have been nuclear weapons tests that world had not even noticed. How about a molecule that must be measured in parts per billion then? The simple world some want to slap upon us does not exist.

Despite the significant consequences of this weathering pathway, photooxidation was not taken into account in oil spill models or the oil budget calculations during the Deepwater Horizon spill.
