OPEC+ clamping down on members exceeding production quotas
Come on – those poor OPEC+ member are having a hard time. They got themselves used to throw loads of cash at everything that looked like a problem to them instead of having a stab at resolving it. This made them dependent on ever-larger cash dollops for their oil. When prices were high this did not matter as the cash fountain masked everything. Now cash is still plentiful but not nearly enough to cover their colossal needs. They are broke. Time to step up.
