Opec down but not out
Collectives of people (that’s what International Organisations really are) always crumble from within. The shocks from the outside just provide the underlying fodder for those rifts on the inside to do their work. OPEC’s glue was always strong enough to bind its members together when times were good for them. This means when oil prices were high and oil consumer economies beat a path to their lairs. Now, in an age of abundant oil, they would have to market what they have and they are not used to it. How could they be? Decay is a long process, but it’s hard to reverse after a certain point.
