Outgoing BP CEO: fossil fuels essential for decades

We can dream as much as we want all day long. In the end, we need reliable and working systems that are capable of carrying us when things go apecrap. And we may hope and project as much as we want, those systems are not driven by renewables. The only thing renewables do very reliably is lining the pockets of those running this madness. But I know a cure – just subject those Angst obsessed people to 6 months to pure renewables lifestyle completely unconnected to anything fossil. Make them bear the costs, make them enjoy the blackouts and the load shedding, make them live the dream. 99% of them will be healed. They will appreciate what they dump upon now.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
