Pakistan to renegotiate Qatar LNG deal amid high costs, paper says

The global LNG market had become a slugfest for the highest bidder. What’s a good thing for the spot market has polluted the long-term world for quite a while already. Still, there are different classes of buyers and those who offer the highest bid at one moment cannot always be trusted to follow through on that high price for the duration of the contract. But new sellers often need those sales agreements to underpin their high investments; when prices drop, they might fall to their knees. Thats not Qatar’s problem but other sellers should take note.
