Pakistan warns LNG importers against oil-linked contracts
Cherry picking – try financing your receiving terminal on the back of uncertain LNG supply. They should look again. Oil linked contracts are not bad. They are safe. The spot market is not for the novices of the field.
Pakistan’s competition watchdog has advised domestic LNG importers to renegotiate their long-term contracts, and warned them against crude oil price indexation, as the price disparity between oil-linked contractual supplies and prevailing LNG spot market values widens.
