Past river activity in northern Africa reveals multiple Sahara greenings
Northern Africa and the Middle East must have been very different places than what we find there today just a few thousands of years ago. Old historical texts from before the Ramseid period tell us about a much more lush Sahara and the Middle East full of big game that was hunted with glee. There must have been a lot more water then and the oases were a lot bigger at the time. Climate must also have been different and as we know today even the last 2000 years have seen massive climate swings. All without human industries. How is this comparably moderate swing a problem now?
