Permian industry groups challenge perceptions on methane emissions
OK, let me say it again. It’s not nice to dump anything into the atmosphere, or anywhere else for that matter. But let’s keep perspective here. The total size of the problem is negligibly small. Methane in the atmosphere is 1800 ppb. That’s 0,000018%. Methane degrades very fast in the atmosphere. Besides, life itself produces fantastical amounts of methane each day which go into the air. The methane emissions from O&G are not even the biggest emitter. So, will we stop living in order to stop something that has no perceptible impact on our lives? To all those that will point towards Climate Change – show proof. No models, no theories, no opinions. Proof.
