Plastics ban hits Alberta’s gas strategy

Yeah, thats smart. Because COVID just showed us how much we need our single-use plastics. Life without them is barely imaginable. And just because Asia and Africa have a plastic pollution problem we need to ban them in Europe and North America which are the sources of a tiny portion of the plastic in our oceans or waste dumps. But as we know that we need them and if we don’t produce them close to our place, we will need to import them from far away. We kill our petchem industry, force them to set up shop halfway around the world where standards are much less strict, and then buy from them. Not only do we destroy jobs and value. We have made a sort, clean, and sustainable supply chain a long one. All for virtue signaling. Thats green.
