It’s way more insidious than this. Normal people are sheltered for quite some time from the effects of wind and solar as they are the last ones to be switched off when a blackout event strikes. This way they don’t feel the effects of intermittence when industry suffers already quite a bit. And all this drives prices for consumer goods and services which slowly creeps in.
