Is it that easy? They have told us a massive bag of lies for decades. Their lies have helped trigger trillions in money spent and they are also responsible for vast swathes of people losing their livelihoods. What do you think where inflation comes from? When the government prints money it does not have an economic basis for, it dilutes its value. The effect is not immediate and politicians count on that. I have money to spend now and my successor will have to deal with the wreckage. People doing this are absolute monsters – they accept that people will suffer immeasurably just so that their short-term virtue signaling can live for another year – or two.
