As I said many times. Eco-extremists can be trusted with one thing for sure. They will overshoot. They will overshoot on a massive scale and they will ask people to do or support things that will finally break those people’s inaction. Most people don’t give a crap about politics and regulation – until their lives go to the dumpers. It’s only a question of what the average threshold for popular action is. Give people rationed energy and see what happens at the next election.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network. At the time he worked for EconGas/OMV and he tried organizing longterm LNG supply for them under the unlikeliest of all circumstances.
