Religion of Green
All fanatic mass movements work the same way. There are no fundamental differences between the Spanish Inquisition (as an example) and the modern Climate Change movement. The fear of satan has been replaced by the fear of a fiery death on a heating planet (very fitting actually). The Nazis used those same mechanisms and so did the Communists or the Jacobins of the French Revolutions and thousands of other totalitarian movements all throughout human history. Humans have not changed at all since the first civilizations sprung up from the mud of Mesopotamia. If we use The Nazis and the Communists as valid comparisons, the prognosis is not good. The best antidote is allowing the most extreme elements of the Climate Change crowd to take down some prosperous regions. California may serve as a warning to North America, Germany as a warning to Europe. Extremists are their own worst enemy.
