Renewable energy transition to accelerate on drop in power demand
Wow, thats reality rejection at its best. Renewable Energy needs a deep power network with plenty of alternative sources of electricity in order to wash out the flicker factor of its own generation plus as a backup when they fail completely. And it’s not true that they don’t need fuel. Their fuel is truckloads of tax- and ratepayer money. It’s no accident that countries with high shares of RE have the highest power prices on Earth. Ah yes, economic shrinkage also leads to lower tax takes and higher budget constraints due to the money thrown at the economy. Less in the kilter for RE. And without their subsidies, they shrivel and die.
