Renewable Subsidies Leading America Toward European-Style Energy Poverty

To each his own. Here in Europe we won’t escape this. Especially so in countries like Germany and Denmark. A massive amount of those costs are still hidden in the murky financing structures employed and will hit Europe in the years to come. This comes on top of the cost of a system that does not work as there will have to be lots of emergency measures in order to keep things running. Expect the heaviest industry to take an exit. Maybe towards the US with its cheap and abundant shale gas. A good start would be to force all actors to own their game and admit that they are all subsidy takers. Every time someone says that wind and solar are cheapest they must be called out and publicly corrected. The bubbles they live in on our money need to be pierced open.
