I never cease to be amazed at the blindness of all political players when it comes to the economic realities of common people. The common folks are hurting and they see you throwing heaps of money at funny projects while there is little to help them grapple with an already hard situation. And then you politicians are surprised when they go down at the next poll. Those normal people are voters and although it takes a long while until they connect the dots, they eventually do. Those of you who do so earlier will have an easier transition back to sanity. Those of you who hold out longer will see violence. Ask the former Romanian dictator – he learned quickly but it was too late.

I was introduced to and met Rudi in Angola when he started to develop his Sub Saharan Africa network.
