Repsol produces hydrogen from biomethane
How does that make sense? Biomethane is – by definition – is carbon neutral. Some even treat it as carbon negative. You can use it straight without any modification with any equipment that had been built for Natural Gas and you will be fine. You will be zero carbon, you will have that a lot cheaper than with hydrogen, you will benefit from mature technology contrary to hydrogen and you will be very, very safe. Why give that up for nothing in return?
